We are seeking an experienced Accessibility Test Lead to join our financial services client on a daily rate contract. This role is based in Dublin with a hybrid working model. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that web and mobile applications are fully accessible to users with disabilities, adhering to WCAG standards and other relevant accessibility guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct accessibility testing for web and mobile applications to ensure compliance with WCAG and other accessibility standards.
Evaluate mobile apps, websites, and applications to identify accessibility issues using automated tools (e.g., BrowserStack, Evinced, JAWS, TalkOver) and manual testing techniques.
Document and report accessibility issues, providing clear and detailed descriptions of problems and their locations.
Collaborate with development teams to resolve accessibility issues and improve digital accessibility.
Conduct usability testing with individuals with disabilities to gather qualitative data and insights.
Stay updated on accessibility legislation, best practices, and emerging technologies.
Lead accessibility testing projects within the online or mobile banking domain.
Create and maintain comprehensive reports on the accessibility status of tested products.
Provide recommendations and solutions to enhance the accessibility of digital content.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience in Accessibility Testing for web and mobile applications.
Strong familiarity with WCAG standards and conducting accessibility audits.
Extensive knowledge of assistive technologies (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver).
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA techniques.
Experience with automated accessibility testing tools (e.g., BrowserStack, Evinced, JAWS, TalkOver).
Deep understanding of accessibility non-functional requirements (NFRs).
Prior experience in the banking sector and leading accessibility testing projects for online or mobile banking.
Ability to work independently and manage accessibility testing initiatives.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
