My Dublin City Centre based client is recruiting for a Data Solutions Architect. This is a perm role working on a hybrid model. This is a fast-evolving area, offering opportunities to expand your capabilities and keep pace with the demands of an increasingly digital world. Data Solutions Architect will bring a strategic, data-driven approach to product development & business transformation. This role involves driving projects from vision to execution delivering modern data architecture that supports critical business decisions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver best-in-class solutions across Data Warehousing, BI, ERP, and CRM platforms, while managing internal team members and key external partners.
  • Advise on and implement data management strategies and operating models.
  • Design and document target architectures for operational data storage and data warehousing, integrating both real-time streams and batch data sources.
  • Lead on data strategy, architecture, and the design and implementation of data integration, transformation, visualisation, and analytics.
  • Oversee the development of robust data solutions, including testing frameworks, documentation, and delivery processes.
  • Build long-term relationships with stakeholders and identify business development opportunities.
  • Prioritise and lead initiatives that enhance and evolve the overall data and BI architecture.
  • Champion data governance initiatives and foster a data-first mindset across teams.
  • Mentor colleagues on the importance and value of data-driven decision making.

Skills and Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, ideally with exposure to architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
  • 6+ years of experience in a client-facing or consulting role.
  • 7+ years of proven experience in data architecture, solutions architecture, or a related role.
  • Strong background in data modelling, SQL, and database design across multiple platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
  • In-depth understanding of data integration techniques, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure, particularly with data storage, processing, and security.
  • Ability to solve complex problems, troubleshoot data issues, and design efficient processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a proven ability to lead teams and deliver results.

Desirable

  • Degree with a focus on Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar (Master’s preferred).
  • Certifications in cloud platforms, data management, or automation technologies.
  • Experience in software development and scripting/coding for process automation.
  • Background in managing software production environments and technical support teams.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure in the context of automation and data engineering.
  • Exposure to AI, generative AI, automation, and advanced modelling techniques.
