Nexus: Revolutionising Vehicle and Plant Hire with a Tech-First Approach
For over 20 years, Nexus has been at the forefront of the vehicle and plant hire industry, offering a tech-led solution that seamlessly connects businesses with vehicles and suppliers with customers. Their approach is tailored for businesses with high-volume, complex needs across various sectors, ensuring uninterrupted service no matter how turbulent the commercial environment.

The Challenge
After a strategic rebrand and investment in their tech platform, Nexus embarked on a major digital transformation of their business. To achieve this, they needed to build a new engineering team in Leeds and sought a recruitment partner with a deep understanding of the local market and the flexibility to adapt to their evolving needs. Fruition’s extensive knowledge of the tech landscape and market insights made them the ideal choice to support Nexus in this transformation.
The Approach
Fruition partnered with Nexus on an exclusive recruitment campaign to fill 15 permanent roles and build their new engineering function. Working closely with Nexus’s leadership team, they shortlisted candidates that were aligned with its tech stack and culture. To enhance the process, Fruition introduced a custom ATS solution on Monday.com, streamlining application tracking and feedback. They also hosted Nexus’s CTO on the “Diary of a CIO” podcast, and the wider leadership team to their ‘Fruition Talks Tech’ events, boosting brand exposure and strengthening Nexus’s presence in the local tech community.

The Outcome
Fruition successfully placed 11 out of 15 hires (73%), with the remaining roles still in progress, and also secured two contingent resources. As a result of this successful collaboration, Nexus has chosen Fruition as its preferred recruitment partner for ongoing tech expansion efforts.
